UFO Bridge

Opened in 1972, the UFO bridge is the longest single pylon suspension bridge — at least according to Wikipedia.

The UFO bridge connects the historic center of the city to the bustling industrial sprawl of modern Slovakia. Rails cars full of Audis, and VWs sit waiting delivery to waiting owners. More importantly though, from the the top of the bridge you can see the splendor of the city, and beauty of being a resident of Bratislava.

The saucer portion of the bridge hosts a nice restaurant with spectacular 360 degree views. It is definitely worth doing. The food was excellent.

What caught my eye more than anything was the sun setting over the iron curtain trail. A simple sight, but something that made me miss the charms of home.
